Position Information: The Standardized Patient Educator (SPE) provides educational and technical expertise in the development, implementation and evaluation of simulation-based activities for the Center for Simulated Patient Care (CSPC). The SPE works under the supervision of the Director of the Standardized Patient (SP) Program with faculty, students, staff and external affiliates. They will ensure the highest quality in simulation training activities and implement simulation curriculum across the undergraduate and graduate medical education programs. The SPE will participate in state consortium meetings and activities. The SPE will perform work-related duties as assigned by the Director of the SP Program. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the Director assigning duties within the scope of the position. The SPE applies knowledge about curriculum, requirements, and educational activities to coordinate program operations at the CSPC. They will co-lead a variety of projects with the SP Program team, which may include leading training sessions, editing program curriculum, scheduling SPs and students, tracking SP compliance and completion of training curriculum.
The full salary range for the Standardized Patient Educator is $63,036.72 - $95,880.96 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $77,026.32 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Requirements: Educational Requirements - Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Required Experience Requirements
- 2-4 years of related experience
Required - Prior experience as a Standardized Patient and/or Standardized Patient Trainer
Preferred Special Conditions

- Thorough knowledge of MS Office and other work-related applications/software.
- Knowledge of educational technology and systems. Ability to troubleshoot and triage related technology issues. Preferred Qualifications
