**Job Title: Remote Russian Consecutive Interpreter - On-Demand**

A remote consecutive, over-the-phone interpreter is a vital link in enabling clear communication between individuals who speak different languages. Consecutive interpreters listen to a speaker in one language and then convey their message into another language after a brief pause.

As a consecutive interpreter, you will play a pivotal role in bridging language barriers, ensuring clarity and understanding in various over-the-phone scenarios.

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide professional consecutive interpretation services during phone calls, meetings, conferences, interviews, and more.
- Listen attentively to the speaker in the source language and accurately convey their message in the target language.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout the interpretation process.
- Uphold industry best practices and comply with relevant protocols and policies, including those related to HIPAA.

**Requirements:**

- A minimum of one year or 2000 hours of active interpretation experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in at least two languages (source and target languages).
- Demonstrable English language proficiency, with a "technical proficiency" rating on the national ILR scale or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a Mock Call assessment with a passing score.
- An updated resume highlighting relevant interpretation experience.
- A clear criminal background check (in English).
- Adequate technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments, including a headset, stable internet connection, and a laptop.

- The National Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI)
- National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
