Waikoloa Swim Club is looking to hire a HEAD COACH ASAP to our Staff at Waikoloa Village Association Pool. We are located on the West Side of the Big Island, Hawai'i. Waikoloa Swim Club practices M-W-F 3-6:30pm (with the option to 7:30pm) with 3 different level groups and 3 lanes. Novice-Intermediate-Advanced. There are monthly swim meets and occasional swim meets and monthly beach workouts. Our Club has been established for over two years now and looking to expand our Coaching Staff. Private Lessons can be accomodated for extra income, as well as we can set up a Masters program for additional income.
MUST have extensive swimming and Coaching background and experience in competitive swimming. Willing to train and certify USA Swimming credentials if do not have these certifications. Water skills and CPR Training necessary. Be able to take the reigns with emails, registration, try outs, workouts, meets, and team events.
Team: 30-40 Swimmers from 5-15 years old.
HOUSING that can be provided: 2 min drive to Aquatics Pool. We have a house with room for rent. $1,500 including utilities. 7500 sq ft. log and 2100 sq ft house. We can do a work-trade for the room for rent (only available with this position). Tenant will be like a house care-taker, with the owners coming monthly or every couple months+. I also have a car that can be borrowed as well. This has to be the right person for this opportunity.
MUST: Must be responsible both as Coach and living tenant. Housing will only accomodate single male or female, we may consider pets, but room for rent will only accomodate one person. Mainland and Hawa'i'i residents for this position preferred.
We are building a team with growing talent and a fun environment for children to build their stroke technique, endurance, and competition participation in Big Island Swimming. Truly great group of keiki and supporting parents.
Pay: $20-30/HR based on experience (Salary options can be worked out). Need full commitment. Stipend for Coaching Swim Meets. Housing options can be worked out if coming from off island. Ownership opportunities can be included in this position.
