About the Job 

Schilling Beer Co. is seeking dedicated support team members (hosts and barbacks) in a part- or full-time capacity. Ideal candidates work efficiently under pressure; maintain a positive approach to the workplace, guests and teammates; have the ability to provide exceptional guest experience; and crucially, maintain a passion for greeting guests as family. They will also learn how to serve and discuss Schilling beer. Seasonal support staff that excel may have opportunities to stay on as permanent employees after the busy season concludes (i.e. in the fall).

Duties & Expectations:

• Treating our guests like family.
• Assignment to one of three stations during service: host stand, barback, or expo (delivering food to customers).
• Handling a fast-paced atmosphere with grace and efficiency.
• Maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that customers have a memorable experience at our brewery’s one-of-a-kind pub.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including the bar, server and dining areas. 
• Working swiftly, accurately and cleanly when bussing guest tables, noticing when this needs to be done without being asked.
• Following all State of NH alcoholic beverage service guidelines and complying with safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with management and teammates to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for this role possesses:

• A positive, upbeat attitude and a friendly demeanor, including during fast-paced service.
• Willingness to be flexible and support in various ways (organizing, cleaning, managing guests and the waitlist, clearing tables, restocking glassware, appetizer and entree inspection and delivery, etc.).
• Strong initiative–i.e. going above and beyond without being asked– a passion for details, and delivering exceptional customer service
• Multi-tasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to lift approximately 40 lbs.
• Open and flexible availability to work midday, nights, weekends and select holidays.
• The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
