Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. The Special Education Teacher will work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and social success for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies to meet individual needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support in various settings, including one-on-one and small group instruction.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate students with disabilities into mainstream classrooms and facilitate accommodations.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and involvement in the IEP process.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, behavior, and other relevant information.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of behavior intervention plans.
• Stay current with best practices in special education and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Must be a fully credentialed Special Education Teacher in the state of Arizona.
• Active IVP (Institutional Verification Program) Card.
• Experience with IEP development and implementation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with a diverse range of disabilities and learning needs.
• Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and assistive technology.
