Palmer Group has partnered with an outstanding client in Houston, Texas, for a Senior Staff Accountant on a direct-hire basis. If you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least six years of relevant experience, you are qualified! Apply today to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly closing functions for subsidiary systems
• Prepare and post journal entries into the general ledger system, and reconcile accounts to the general ledger
• Analyze and review financial statements, and prepare schedules and work papers as needed by the community
• Perform Percentage of Completion Accounting (POC)
• Help with forecasting and financial standards-setting processes.
• Review journal entries related to normal month/quarter-end close cycles.
• Maintain and document business processes and procedures
• Prepare required schedules and documentation for external audit firms

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA is a plus (would like candidate working towards CPA if you don’t have CPA)
• 6+ years of experience
• NetSuite experience

Work Model:

• On-Site
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
