We are hiring Rock Climbing Specialists for multiple locations and programs! Whether you are looking to take campers on multi-day expeditions, live onsite at our Evergreen, CO residential camp, or spend your days leading rock climbing programs for our Seattle, Bay Area, or Colorado camps - we have an opportunity to make your summer one to remember.

In this role you will

  • Co-lead groups of up to 13 campers in age and developmentally appropriate instruction with outdoor activities including rock climbing,, Leave No Trace principles, and teambuilding.
  • You may be asked to also instruct paddling and mountain biking- training provided
  • Serve as a role model and guide campers by exhibiting appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities.
  • Follow and educate campers on safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. Some locations and positions require instructors to drive campers as part of their job duties.
  • Staff must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license to drive campers. Drivers receive a 2% pay increase.
  • Personal and/or professional climbing experience required; must have thorough knowledge of common climbing knots and climb technical skills
  • +1 years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred
  • Minimum of Basic First Aid & CPR certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done). Some positions may require a Wilderness First Aid/Wilderness First Responder(EMT) certification.


For California Camp Applicants: Due to California laws, applicants with a CA driver's license must have a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in order to drive campers in our 15 passenger vans. Staff with a non-CA driver's license are not required to have a CDL.

Work Schedule

  • Full Time positions: Typically Monday - Friday, about 40 hours/week.
  • Part-Time positions: A minimum of three days a week.
  • Training and program dates are location dependent. Staff are invited to start right away at all locations with camps running through Early-Mid August, program depending.
