What are you going to do

Overview: We have an LNG company seeking a motivated and hardworking Recruiter to join their dynamic team in Downtown Houston, TX. This hands-on role requires flexibility, the ability to wear multiple hats, and a drive to excel in a fast-paced environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior recruiter to make a significant impact within our organization.

  • Work location: Downtown Houston, TX
  • Workplace: On-site / In-office (no remote/WFH opportunity)
  • Travel: Travel to South Texas on a bi-weekly or monthly basis
  • Work schedule: Monday-Friday / 40 hours a week
  • Worktype: W2 Contract
  • Start Date: August 2024
  • Estimated duration: 1+ year with potential for direct hire based on performance and need
  • Rate: Hourly with 1.5x OT
  • Benefits: Medical / Dental / Vision / 401(k)
  • Local candidates only. No per diem, relocation package, or travel allowance of any kind will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment for industrial projects, operations, campus recruiting, and contract recruiting.
  • Handle high-volume recruitment cycles as needed.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and phone interviews.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates and talent pools.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Provide regular recruitment reports and updates to hiring managers and HR.
  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with local, state, and federal employment laws.

Essential skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of recruitment experience, preferably in industrial or operations settings.
  • Understanding of industrial projects and field recruitment versus corporate recruitment.
  • Highly motivated, hard worker, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and wear multiple hats.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
