Job Description
BPN Data Entry Assistant Location Lincoln, NE : Responsible for the data entry of patient clinical data. PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values. 2. *Performs assigned work tasks under the direct supervision of clinical staff. 3. Enters clinical data related to patient outcomes from Electronic Medical Record (EMR) into the Diabetes Center of Excellence database spreadsheet and computer system. 4. Assists with clerical tasks as assigned if needed. 5. Gathers data from EMR to use in preparing word documents. 6. Prepares word documents related to the outcomes of patients. 7. *Enters patient assistance data on a spreadsheet. 8. Attends Zoom meetings with analyst to review outcomes. 9. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. 10. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned. 11. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned. (Essential Job functions are marked with an asterisk “*”. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions. 2. Knowledge of the concepts and procedures related to the area of assignment/instruction. 3. Skill in the operation of communication and information devices required for the assigned duties (e.g., computers, pagers, phones). 4. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 5. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff. 6. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information. 7. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision. 8. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals and groups. 9. Ability to organize and carry out assigned work tasks. 10. Ability to deal effectively with stressful circumstances. 11. Ability to complete work in a timely manner. 12. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required. Current enrollment in a healthcare education program and/or experience in healthcare related field preferred.
