Under the general direction of the Office Services Supervisor I, the Office Technician (Typing) provides clerical and processing support to the Mailroom for incoming and outgoing correspondences. This position demands a high degree of judgment, initiative, and ability to follow through on assigned tasks. Communicates with outside agencies, incarcerated persons families, and personnel, which involve sensitive issues requiring knowledge of CDCR policies and procedures, California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 15, and Operational Procedures in regards to incarcerated persons correspondences. Other duties as required.
Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.

Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
