As a part of the Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions team you will be responsible for developing world class digital products, capabilities and marketing programs that support our global markets and help drive performance marketing growth.

In this role you will be a part of the Enterprise Performance Channel Enablement team, responsible for developing critical digital performance marketing solutions centered around audiences, ad tech and mar tech platforms, and People Based Marketing capabilities. You will be expected to drive growth across business units and countries and lead a team of Digital subject matter experts to deliver transformational results.

A successful candidate will have a proven track record in Digital Performance Marketing. They will be able to demonstrate deep expertise in: assessing and enabling ad technology around audiences, campaign management and measurement, developing forward thinking strategies keeping Amex at the forefront of the digital marketing industry, and successfully delivering biddable, addressable digital media.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of digital SMEs across audience strategies and paid media
  • Partner closely with International marketing teams to develop and deliver a growth-driving paid media strategy
  • Support the enterprise-level media capability roadmap to enable effective, future-proofed paid media for internal marketers, inclusive of navigating regulatory and landscape changes, publisher betas/alpha, audience solutions and measurement.

  • Partner with internal product teams on the assessment and onboarding of the right ad tech innovations, including but not limited to, data management solutions, campaign tracking and measurement solutions, ad serving capabilities and data partnerships

  • Oversee the development and execution of People Based Marketing strategy and roadmap across business units and markets

  • Oversee management of external vendors to successfully execute on global targeting strategies, maximizing partnership value and minimizing enterprise risk

  • Drive growth & marketing efficiency through supporting Omni-Channel Marketing strategy & implementation

  • Develop and foster cross-functional relationships with partners across American Express including, Product, Analytics, Finance, Legal, Risk, Marketing, and other Business Units

  • Ensuring all compliance, legal and regulatory requirements are met for Digital Performance Marketing channels and solutions

  • Management of the Amex Merchant Advertising Program on Americanexpress.com

  • Partner closely on a day-to-day basis with Performance Channel Analytics teams to ensure a data driven approach, robust solutions and a stable, continuous test and learn program

Qualifications:

  • Strong track record of delivering results and project management
  • Digital marketer with passion for performance marketing
  • Experience developing, motivating, and leading a team
  • Strong technical knowledge of digital media and technology, with demonstrable knowledge of the future digital marketing ad tech and mar tech capabilities
  • Demonstrable knowledge of ID-Based Marketing and the capabilities required to deliver this
  • Proven track record of building and developing relationships with both internal and external partners, including agencies.
  • 5+ years developing digital marketing, ad tech and audience management strategy
  • Considered Expert with proven experience in Ad Technology including the Google Marketing Platform (AKA Doubleclick Stack)
  • Strong partnership and communication skills, including the following abilities:
    • Present complex concepts in a simple and clear manner.
    • Flex approach and material based on audience and partner needs.
    • Influence and guide conversations towards alignment.
  • A growth mindset, with experience both delivering on proven tactics as well as running principled marketing tests.
  • Experience working across international markets or in global teams a plus

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
