Job Description
Summary: ForwardEdge ASIC is seeking a skilled silicon Validation Engineer specializing in analog and mixed signal testing to be involved in a fast-paced test environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, performance, and reliability of our analog and mixed signal integrated circuits (ICs). You will collaborate closely with design engineers and cross-functional teams to validate and characterize designs throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute validation plans for analog and mixed signal ICs, including defining test strategies, creating test benches, and conducting simulations.
- Design and implement test cases to validate functionality, performance, and compliance with specifications.
- Provide validation requirements for PCB design / build and test equipment procurement.
- Perform hands-on testing using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, BERTs, vector network and logic analyzers.
- Develop automated test scripts and tools to streamline validation processes and improve efficiency.
- Characterize and validate ASIC circuits (including ADC, I/O, SERDES, and LDO IP) across specified performance range to identify circuit marginality and fail points.
- Analyze and interpret test results, identify issues, and collaborate with design engineers to resolve them.
- Document test procedures, results, and findings thoroughly, and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide technical support during product qualification, production ramp-up, and customer support phases.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in validation engineering with a focus on analog and mixed signal testing.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment for testing and debugging analog and mixed signal circuits.
- Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuits, including IO, ADC and SERDES. Knowledge of semiconductor device physics is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
