JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Investigation Specialist plays a vital role in protecting the brand integrity of Fox's sites and apps that engage directly with users.

We strive to:

  • Implement industry-leading trust and safety measures to safeguard our user communities

  • Develop innovative strategies to enhance community well-being

  • Foster deeper engagement within user communities and promote exploration of FOX's diverse content offerings

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Trust and Safety Investigator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and security of Fox's platforms. Your responsibilities will include reviewing user-generated content and conducting thorough investigations into potential violations of our community guidelines and policies. By working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all users.

  • Content Monitoring: Regularly review user-generated content on Fox platforms—including text, images, videos, and other media—to ensure adherence to community guidelines and policies.

  • Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into flagged content, user activities, and potential policy violations, gathering and analyzing evidence to inform decisions.

  • Policy Enforcement: Apply company policies consistently and fairly to determine appropriate actions, such as content removal, user warnings, or account suspensions.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Record investigation outcomes and actions taken, prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders, and maintain detailed records of all cases.

  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams—including Legal, Customer Support, and Product—to resolve complex cases and enhance platform safety.

  • Trend Identification: Monitor and analyze emerging trends in user behavior to proactively identify potential risks and recommend policy improvements.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in content moderation, investigations, or a similar role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Capability to handle sensitive and potentially distressing content with professionalism and discretion.

  • Proven ability to maintain objectivity when managing sensitive or impactful content.

  • Adept at working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong ethical judgment and a commitment to upholding community standards.

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER

  • Experience in digital forensics or online investigations.

  • Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks related to online content.

  • Proven ability to manage and evaluate diverse content types across various mediums.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and the dynamics of online communities.
