Standardized Patient Program Lead Job Summary This position is responsible for the Center for Simulation and Education Enhancement human simulation program operations and provides on site support and oversight over the Standardized Patient Program from start to finish. Responsible for the recruitment, training, coordination, and payment for all SP sessions. And assist with teaching support and will be required to apply many unique skills and knowledge including; clinical, computer and simulation technology for multiple disciplines. Responsibilities will also include the planning and delivery of clinical training scenarios and program development, faculty and community liaison, and compliance with standards and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Experience as a working actor in the theater, TV, or other productions.
- Experience with video recording and audio-visual equipment.
- Proficient in PC software applications; MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in PC and MAC- based simulation software applications; MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Demonstrated teamwork leadership experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology, and clinical application
- Knowledge of medical simulation services and instructional technology; principles and methods of adult education
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Department Overview The Center for Simulation and Education Enhancement (CSEE) provides cutting-edge technology dedicated to improving the quality of multi-disciplinary health care education through teaching teamwork and clinical decision making using medical simulation training. Using its unique simulated clinical environment, the CSEE offers training and educational programs for physicians, nurses, health care students, technicians and industry personnel. The CSEE is on the cutting edge of education/technology and has established a leadership role in this area of expertise. In moving to a leadership role in simulation education, the CSEE has come to the national forefront and is frequented by internal executives as well as community and national leadership from the government, education and medical fields. Policies and procedures established by the CSEE have been and will continue to be used as a blueprint for the UC system as well as various academic and military training facilities both for the national and international community.
Department Specific Job Scope This position reports directly to the Center for Simulation and Education Enhancement (CSEE) and will support the human simulation program and teaching activities of the Center as well as the outreach and relationship-building activities. The CSEE is an international leader in simulation medical education providing cutting-edge technology dedicated to improving the quality of multi-disciplinary health care education.
