About the team

What you’ll do

The Developer Experience team exists to build a world-class developer experience for Airwallex’s  global customer base.  Finding and building elegant solutions to helping developers navigate and build in a deeply complex space will be key to success. The successful candidate will need to work closely with product and engineering teams across all of the financial products and services we support, along with partners from key support functions. Importantly, having a deep appreciation for our customers' business will ensure the team’s ongoing success. 

This role is based in San Francisco.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage all domains related to Client API, including SDKs, Product Documentation, Webhooks, Simulation APIs, and developer portal tools.

  • Advocate for and engage with the developer community, driving developer advocacy and growth.

  • Oversee the entire developer lifecycle, including UX and workflow optimization.

  • Contribute to product management, including go-to-market strategies, product design, planning, and development.

  • Communicate product strategy effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Analyze complex problems with attention to detail, using data and first-principle insights to guide decisions.

  • Demonstrate ownership and drive to rapidly implement ideas and solutions.

  • Collaborate effectively in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.

  • Balance user needs with commercial strategy to drive meaningful product growth.

  • Engage in technical discussions and architectural planning with engineering teams.

  • Apply hands-on experience in online payments or similar B2B domains with high conceptual complexity.

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 to 12 years of overall professional experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline.

  • Evidence of exemplary academic achievements (e.g. high GPA, Dean's list, scholarship, etc.)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Engineering work experience not critical.

  • Experience at large platform businesses preferred (AWS, Cloudflare, MongoDB, etc.)

  • ​​Experience in any of the following is a plus: hyper growth startup environments, software engineering, financial technology.

Compensation

$160K – $230K • Offers Equity • Offers Bonus

Airwallex promotes fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.

These expected base pay ranges are based on information at the time this post was generated and represent the company’s good faith minimum and maximum ranges for this role at the time of posting.

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills and other qualifications, geographic location as noted, internal equity, and other external market factors.

Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation including, but not limited to, annual bonuses, commissions, RSUs, or other forms of compensation in addition to the established salary range.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and work location. US-based employees are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. US-based employees also receive 20 paid days of vacation and 12 paid days of company holidays in a calendar year.
