Scrum Master Description

We’re looking for a Scrum Master with a proven track record in production environments and experience leading agile scrum teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating agile practices, mentoring team members, and ensuring a smooth, effective delivery process. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop agile teams into effective delivery units with a sustainable cadence
• Ensure that team processes evolve within organizational guidelines and standards
• Nurture self-organizing, high-performing teams through servant leadership and mentoring
• Encourage, support, and guide continuous improvement of team products and processes
• Communicate effectively to gain the respect of the team, stakeholders, and management
• Resolve conflicts through arbitration, negotiation, reasoned discussion, or escalation
• Identify and facilitate quick resolution of problems, impediments, dependencies, and other team dysfunctions
• Facilitate the development process and agile activities and events
• Assist the product owner with backlog grooming and ensure effective agile practices
• Ensure coordination between teams and assist with impediment removal across the company
• Maintain relevant metrics to provide organizational visibility and help the team assess their performance

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, including experience in scaled agile environments
• 5+ years of relevant IT experience with a strong understanding of client/stakeholder relationships, business analysis, prioritization, estimation, capacity management, and iterative/incremental software development
• Strong understanding of agile processes such as Scrum and Kanban
• Familiarity with agile metrics and reporting techniques
• Experience promoting agile engineering practices such as pair programming, continuous delivery, TDD, BDD, and refactoring is preferred
• Proven ability to lead teams to make realistic and achievable delivery commitments
• Experience using Jira to track and visualize sprint backlog workflow
• Fluent in English
