One of our clients is seeking a School Social Worker for opportunities in New Orleans, LA. HOURS - Monday - Friday

Summary Of Client's Description Of This Opportunity - Confer with parents, teachers, principals, the director of special education and other district professional staff whenever necessary on matters relative to assessment, academic/behavioral interventions, exceptional children, learning, teaching strategies, classroom management, Tier III evidence-based Interventions and other areas of responsibility or expertise of the appraisal social worker.
- Maintain a caseload of students and provide direct services to students and families in childcare centers as needed.
- Implement and/or assist teachers and other school personnel in the design and implementation of educational behavioral interventions for support and /or related services to students.
- Provide a written report of any academic/behavioral support services provided to students;
- Attend Tier III data meetings to participate in the development of evidence-based interventions and to assist in the analysis of the plans' effectiveness;
- Participate in Individualized Education Program conferences to develop goals and objectives for eligible students, aligned to the present levels of academic achievement and functional performance;
- Compile and submit progress reports, as outlined in the student's IEP, on each student's progress on their stated goals and objectives for distribution to the instructional team and the parent;
Client's Required Skills And Experience - Master's Degree in Social Work required.
- Valid Louisiana ancillary certification required.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker with expertise in administering and interpreting diagnostic techniques used with all types of exceptional children.
