**Job Title: Part-Time Travel Instructor**
**Overview:**
Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Travel Instructor, where you will play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare. Our training programs in Nursing Assistant (NA-1), CNA-2, and Medication Aide are designed to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds. **Position Details:**
- **Type:** Part-Time or Full-Time
- **Location:** Off-campus facility in Oregon
- **Schedule:**
- Labs: Typically 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM (adjustable to 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
- Clinicals: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- Labs: 5 days a week; Clinicals: 6 days a week
- Total of 12 days for final exam administration, including travel time
- **Compensation:** $30/hour for travel time, meal stipend, and hotel accommodation provided during labs and clinicals.
**Position Summary:**
As a Travel Instructor, you will:
- Deliver engaging lectures and presentations using videos and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate essential skills in lab settings and guide students through practical scenarios.
- Mentor and coach students as they prepare for their OSBN board exam.
- Collaborate with facility staff and oversee student assignments during clinicals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of attendance and student progress.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Teach classes and labs to a cohort of up to 20 students, adapting to both in-person and hybrid (Zoom) formats.
- Work alongside a lab instructor for classes with over 10 students to enhance the learning experience.
- Utilize provided resources, including PowerPoint presentations, syllabi, quizzes, and final exams, to facilitate student learning.
- Ensure a positive and professional training environment, fostering student engagement and understanding.
- Enforce school policies and provide necessary counseling and documentation for student infractions.
**Expectations:**
- Create a supportive and informative training atmosphere for students.
- Exhibit professionalism and a positive attitude towards nursing and healthcare.
- Present materials clearly and lead discussions, answering questions effectively.
- Demonstrate skills in a lab setting, ensuring students grasp essential caregiving techniques.
- Complete required documentation and provide professional insights during student interactions.
**Qualifications:**
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unencumbered license to practice in Oregon.
- Minimum of one year of full-time nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Previous experience with NA-1 training programs is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to various student learning needs.
- Proficient in using a PC and comfortable in a classroom setting for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Previous OSBN instructor approval or experience training adults in an educational setting.
- Completion of a Train-the-Trainer program if no prior teaching experience exists.
