Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain skilled, and personal plans of care based on physical assessment.
• Perform care as defined by the client’s individual Plan of Care and within the scope of the state’s nurse practice act
• Monitor the patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
• Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
• Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
• Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs

Requirements

• Current unrestricted RN license in the state for which care is being provided
• One (1) year minimum experience with ER, ICU, Infusion, or Step Down units.
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred experience: One year or more ICU, ER or step-down experience. Peripheral IV starts/maintenance & IV Infusion Therapy Injection and self-infusion training; Phlebotomy for adult patients, CVAD experience & knowledge of.
