Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Regional Nurse Administrator (Mercer County (Lawrenceville & Trenton) for the Child Health Program within the School of Nursing. The Regional Nurse Administrator ( RNA ) will be the key nursing administrator representing the Child Health Program ( CHP ) within the assigned New Jersey Department of Children and Families ( DCF )/Child Protection and Permanency (CP&P) area.

• Represents CHP and CHP leadership at various meetings with DCF /CP&P, as well as community service organizations, health care providers/facilities, and parent organizations.
• Provides oversight and direction to the CHU staff in delivering educational and health related trainings to DCF /CP&P staff, caregivers and community providers within an assigned DCF /CP&P area.
• In collaboration with DCF /CP&P area leadership, and CHU staff, identifies unmet or problematic child health needs and develops strategies and resources to address them.
• Conducts monthly meetings with CHU staff in the assigned DCF /CP&P area to communicate key CHP and DCF /CP&P information, to problem solve concerns/issues, and to provide opportunities for team building.
• Prepares required CHP administrative reports and submits them to program support staff in a timely and complete manner.
• Delivers direct clinical nursing services, such as providing a nursing placement assessment or nursing case consultation, as necessary and requested.
• Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and
  procedures specific to their jobs.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or BA / BS degree in a health related field required.
• A minimum of four (4) years pediatric nursing experience required.
• Supervisory experience required.
