Private Ranch House Manager Job Description:
As a Private Ranch House Manager, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively managing a private ranch/reserve. You will oversee all aspects of daily operations, including supervising household staff, managing budgets and expenditures, maintaining the property to the highest standards, and ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of the ranch's residents and guests. Your role will also involve coordinating events, managing vendors and contractors, and providing personalized service to meet the unique needs and preferences of the ranch's owners and guests.

Private Ranch House Manager Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule household staff such as housekeepers, chefs, events, and serving personnel.
- Property Maintenance: As approved by the Managing Director, oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the ranch domiciles and common areas while collaborating with the Building and Land Managers, including routine inspections, repairs, and renovations as necessary.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for household expenses, including payroll, supplies, and maintenance costs. Ensure expenditures are within budgetary constraints.
- Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate events, parties, and gatherings hosted at the estate, including managing invitations, catering, and logistics.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Hire and manage outside vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed for specialized tasks or projects (e.g., Linen, domicile needs, toiletries, etc.).
- Security and Safety: Implement security protocols and ensure the safety of residents, guests, and staff. Monitor surveillance systems and alarms as necessary.
- Inventory and Supplies: Maintain inventories of household supplies, equipment, and valuables. Coordinate purchases and deliveries as required.
- Personal Assistance: Provide personal assistance and concierge services to ranch owners, including scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, and managing household accounts - as directed by the Managing Director.
- Special Projects: In collaboration with the Building and Land Managers and the Managing Director, oversee special projects such as renovations, landscaping enhancements, or technological upgrades to improve the ranch's functionality and aesthetics.
Private Ranch House Manager Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a House Manager or similar role in a private estate or ranch or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of household management best practices, including property maintenance, event planning, and budget management.
- Discretion and respect for confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety and security protocols, including emergency response procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in Estate Management or Household Management (a plus)
