Position: Regional Practice Manager

Department: Operations

Overtime Eligible: Exempt

Status: Full-Time

Wages: Salary

Starting Wage: $ 51,000

Currently, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Practice Manager. As a Practice Manager, you will be responsible for providing daily administrative and operational oversight to ensure the overall efficient operations of his/her assigned integrated medical, OB/GYN, dental and behavioral health clinic(s). The RPM ensures adherence to organizational and operational policies and procedures, ensures clinical and support staff relations are maintained, clinics are properly staffed and providing quality patient care, ensures financial/productivity objectives are met, and other responsibilities typical in a managerial role. The RPM works collaboratively with senior leadership ensuring that clinic goals and objectives are met on a daily, weekly, quarterly and annual basis, while maintaining a healthy workplace culture.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Demonstrate supervision and management skills that foster a culture of mentoring, coaching, motivating and engaging staff.
  • Collaborates with clinical leaders such as the Chief Dental Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Nurse Manager to coordinate Health Center activities to improve patient care services and patient flow
  • Model and communicate key values in the community and to staff in a way that supports Third Street’s mission.
  • Educate and empower staff to be adept at meeting current and future organizational needs, and adjust schedule staff hours of work, priorities, and assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.
  • Responsible for management of patient concerns, complaints and related issues.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of EPIC and Dentrix program to train front desk staff and evaluate operations as applicable.
  • Plan and facilitate regional meetings to communicate organizational initiatives and updates to staff.
  • Promotes positive customer service by effectively interacting with patients, frontline staff and supervisors and addressing patient complaints.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in accordance with organization policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
  • Communicate problems and issues to management and end users when appropriate.
  • Review dashboards and reports to analyze progress, trends, and (potential) issues.
  • Audit, review, and analyze service requests.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
  • Audit, review, and analyze policies and procedures.
  • In collaboration with Facilities Manager, consult with Third-Party vendors for problem resolution, installations, and upgrades.
  • Meet with internal clients to determine quality of service and identify needs.
  • Maintain reporting standards for communicating team metrics across regional campuses.
  • Oversee and support special programs or grants affecting assigned region (i.e. Dental Safety net, Title X, Surgery coordination)
  • Consult with IT Director to evaluate impact of proposed changes in hardware or software on computer operations and service to internal clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Basic English reading and writing skills; bilingual is desired but not required

Education, Training, Licensing and Credentialing

Required:

  • Associate degree or a combination of education and experience where comparable knowledge and skills obtained

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare related field
  • Professional certification in Practice Management and/or advanced training in healthcare or business management
  • Active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or other clinical license in medical, dental, or behavioral health in the State of Ohio
  • Supervisory experience

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Knowledge and experience utilizing an electronic health record system
  • Experience leading a team and personnel management
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • Experience in health care management
  • Experience utilizing electronic health record system
  • Prior work experience in a clinical role
  • Knowledge and experience with business management including understanding budgets and financial technology
  • Understanding of and commitment to an integrated delivery model of care including medical, dental, and behavioral health
  • Experience working in a FQHC or Rural Health Clinic
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
