Physician Recruiter

Job Summary

The Physician Recruiter will independently lead the execution of talent acquisition strategies. Collaborate with placement agencies to establish innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent candidates and will research, develop, and participate in programs and services in order to build a high-caliber candidate pool and develop a diverse pipeline of candidates. Will ensure that recruiting and sourcing strategies consistently align with business objectives and will oversee the full life cycle recruiting process for Associate Physician and Advanced Practice Provider positions. This position will develop business partner relationships with internal and external partners. The Physician Recruiter will lead the design and delivery of innovative recruiting activities that produce awareness and attract and retain high- quality candidates to UC Davis Health. The incumbent will conduct ongoing analysis to determine how recruitment processes and protocols may be streamlined, new talent pools can be developed, and department resources can be most effectively deployed. Will build and execute a strategy that supports an effective and ecient recruiting process to attract the best talent. This role demands proficiency in managing multiple intricate transactions concurrently and necessitates a comprehensive understanding of UC Davis Health policies and procedures pertaining to recruitment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of recruitment experience
  • 2+ years experience in physician recruitment, selecting, training and employee retention.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite; and general clerical/administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering and providing consultation to leadership, candidates and HR related issues
  • Extensive experience and understanding of recruitment process including online application management, advertising, interviewing and search committee oversight
  • Demonstrated experience in translating and implementing policies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in healthcare industry, developing, managing, and executing short and long-term goals and plans.

Department Overview


Ambulatory Operations has a full complement of facilities and services which includes 40 hospital-based clinics and 25 medical practices located across the greater Sacramento region. The division oversees complex care delivery in infusion centers, gastroenterology procedure labs, imaging centers, and neuroscience and sleep labs. Ambulatory also offers a vast array of virtual care through office based primary care and specialty telehealth video visits, eConsults. and extended hours telehealth express care.
