Job Description

Pharmacy Shipper

• Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Supervisor (FL) pack and ship prescriptions following all shipping procedures
• Accurately package and ship prescription orders in a timely manner
• Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA
• Accountable to review the daily packing and shipping schedule and be in the assigned area unless otherwise directed
• Accountable for receiving and signing all deliveries that come into the facility
• Responsible for keeping the area clean and adequately stocked with boxes and supplies
• Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures
• Responsible for other duties as assigned
• The employee in this position will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by his/her supervisor

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• MUST have a High School diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of pharmacy operations or logistics experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
• Computer literacy to include operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, presentation software, communication and collaboration tools, and Adobe PDF or comparable
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
