Job Title: Non-QM Scenario Desk Underwriter

Salary Range: $90K to $100K
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Non-QM Scenario Desk Underwriter to join our Production Support team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer support to TPO, NDC, and Retail Loan Officers, Account Executives, and Brokers. Your expertise will help us deliver top-notch service and innovative solutions to our partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to inquiries about Non-QM program guidelines, requirements, and loan scenarios through email, online, and phone support.
- Complete Bank Statement Analysis requests from sales partners in Wholesale, NDC, and Retail divisions, ensuring timely turnaround.
- Clearly communicate analysis results to all stakeholders, adhering to departmental standards.
- Coordinate the delivery and completion of Bank Statement Analyses when collaborating with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners.
- Conduct Quality Control testing on Bank Statement Analysis work completed by BPO partners.
- Demonstrate solid underwriting knowledge to document and clear loan conditions effectively.
- Analyze complex personal and business tax returns to calculate qualifying monthly income.
- Assist sales partners in structuring challenging loan scenarios.
- Stay informed about mortgage loan origination activities, loan programs, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proficiency in using the TPO and NDC Portal to support production partners with document submission and access issues.
- Organize and maintain facilities for completed Bank Statement Analyses and Scenario Grades.
- Collaborate daily with the Mortgage Sales Team and Operations staff (both Retail and TPO).
- Review condominium projects to determine eligibility based on program requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Computer literate with proficient keyboard skills.
Education and Experience:
- Recommended experience in Mortgage Wholesale/Non-QM Underwriting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience with Encompass Software is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of Underwriting experience (either UW or secondary).
