Job Title: Telco Network Engineer
Location: Overland Park, KS, Bellevue WA, or Dallas TX ( Onsite )
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

Responsible for implementing and certifying telecommunications applications on the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). This includes supporting the integration of each platform into cloud and orchestration environments, verifying that the cloud platform meets application requirements, and documenting the integration process in detail. The Engineer will maintain the testing environment, support application testing teams, and ensure seamless integration of telco applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Integration and Certification

• Implement and certify telco applications on the OCP Platform .
• Verify that cloud platforms meet all technical and application requirements.
• Collaborate with application owners to ensure successful integration and onboarding processes.

Technical Documentation and Collaboration

• Create comprehensive technical requirement documents based on stakeholder discussions.
• Develop onboarding guides, best practices, and detailed integration documentation.
• Work closely with cloud architects and application teams to ensure seamless integration of network functions into containerized environments.

Testing and Maintenance

• Lead the maintenance of the testing environment and assist application testing teams.
• Support network automation and orchestration processes in cloud-native environments.

Networking and Automation

• Define network policies and manage external connectivity to OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters.
• Collaborate on network automation and orchestration using tools like Ansible , Helm , Terraform , and GraphQL .
• Ensure smooth deployment of telco NFV , 5GC , IMS core , and container networking on private/public clouds.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in the telecom domain, specifically in deploying telco NFV on public/private clouds.
• Hands-on experience with 5GC , IMS core , and container networking platforms like OpenShift.

Technical Expertise:

• Expertise in telco network protocols and services (e.g., SIP , Diameter , MPLS , BGP , VXLAN ).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation.
• Solid understanding of network function virtualization (NFV) and container networking (CNI plugins) like Multus , Calico , SR-IOV , Kube-OVN .
• Knowledge of data center architecture, specifically Spine-Leaf with CISCO Nexus-N9K platforms.
• Experience with DNS resolution, DHCP, IPAM integration in dynamic environments like OCP.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications such as CKA , RHOCP , AWS , or Azure are highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with SDN , container orchestration , and OpenShift platform management.
