Perimeter Behavioral of Arlington has a great opportunity for Full-time  Mental Health Technicians on day and night shift. We are seeking individuals who are committed to improving our patient’s lives by using a patient centered, collaborative approach to providing high quality of care.

Our Mental Health Technician responsibilities include some of the following:

• Care for our patients daily by obtaining vital signs, assessing their behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift.
• Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior.
• Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients.
• Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with the discharge process.
• Assist them with verbal de-escalation when they are agitated.
• Provide a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

Please apply if you have the following qualifications for a Mental Health Technician:

• High School Degree or equivalent preferred; Certified Nurse Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred.
• At least one (1) year of related experience in a hospital setting with psychiatric experience strongly preferred.
• Successful completion of BLS and Handle with Care Training within 30 days of employment (offered in new employee orientation).

*Must be willing to work rotating weekends
*Earn weekday and weekend night shift differential!
