Medical Billing Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Coordinator to join our healthcare team. You will ensure accurate billing of medical services to insurance companies, government agencies, and patients, supporting the facility’s financial health while adhering to compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance providers, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Collaborate with the coding team to ensure accurate coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Post payments and reconcile insurance payments with outstanding claims.
• Follow up on outstanding claims, resolving issues and filing appeals as needed.
• Generate invoices for patients and address billing inquiries.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Generate reports on claims, revenue, and collections for management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and billing software (e.g., Kareo, Epic).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
