MACHINE MAITANENCE TECH IN CHESAPEAKE, VA

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to become a key player in our team. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of a diverse range of equipment, including CNC and manual machines, assembly tools, and essential facilities equipment like HVAC systems and air compressors. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and control systems will be vital for keeping our production processes running smoothly. Ideal candidates will bring 8-10 years of hands-on experience in machine maintenance or process industry controls.

• Job Type: Full-time
• Location: Chesapeake, VA
• Shift: 2nd Shift

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the manufacturing and assembly environments
• Conduct maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on manufacturing, assembly, and facilities equipment
• Operate and service CNC and manual machinery, as well as assembly and facilities equipment
• Use alignment and measuring instruments to ensure proper clearances between parts
• Replace faulty components and adjust alignments to maintain equipment efficiency
• Connect and test power, air, and water lines for various equipment
• Perform capability studies and trial runs on newly installed equipment
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in the assigned maintenance areas

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience  in machine maintenance, process industry controls, or robotic machine operation/maintenance
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret control schematics, mechanical, and electrical engineering drawings
• Skills: Proficient in welding, fabrication, plumbing, electrical installations, and mechanical alignment fundamentals
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Technical Associate’s degree preferred but not mandatory
• Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office
