Practice Expertise and Focus

This position involves joining a firm recognized for its comprehensive labor and employment practice. Key focus areas include:

  • Employer-Side Litigation: Representing clients in complex class and representative actions involving wage and hour disputes and discrimination cases.
  • Advisory and Investigations Work: Providing strategic counsel on employment policies and conducting workplace investigations.
  • Class Action Leadership: Tackling high-profile class action matters with an emphasis on achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Partnering with experienced attorneys to deliver innovative and effective legal strategies.

In this position, you will:

  • Represent employers in high-stakes class and representative actions, including wage and hour disputes and discrimination claims.
  • Provide strategic advice on compliance with employment laws and develop tailored employment policies.
  • Conduct thorough workplace investigations and provide counsel on dispute resolution.
  • Manage all phases of litigation, including drafting motions, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with clients to craft forward-thinking legal strategies that align with business objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who bring the following qualifications and attributes:

Experience and Expertise

  • Experience Level: Law school graduate from 2016 to 2020 with at least three years of employment law experience at a peer law firm.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Proficiency in employer-side litigation, particularly in class and representative actions.

Educational Credentials

  • Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from a top-tier, accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Bar Admission: Active membership in good standing or eligibility to waive into the New York Bar.

  • Legal Acumen: Expertise in employment law, litigation strategy, and risk management.
  • Litigation Skills: Proficiency in managing complex litigation cases, particularly in class actions.
