Job Description

Job Title:  Kids Ministry Director/Pastor (Full Time, Exempt)

Position Objective:  To oversee the Intentional Growth Plan of the Kids’ Ministry (Birth – 5th grade).

Position Description:    The primary purpose of the Kids Ministry Director/Pastor is to ensure that services and events across all areas (Birth – 5th grade) are designed, organized, and activated with a strategic focus on FC’s mission to see people move from unbelief to belief in every area of life.

Qualifications:

• Teachable spirit and ability to collaborate well in a team environment
• Self-starter who enjoys learning
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to details
• Influential leader who thrives within a team environment
• Committed Christian who practices spiritual disciplines and relational evangelism
• 2 years of training and/or experience working with kids (birth – 5th grade) is preferred, but not required
• A working knowledge of Intentional Churches’ ChurchOS is beneficial, but not required

• To coordinate several activities at once and quickly analyze and resolve specific problems
• To prioritize, facilitate, and complete projects with strategic input and oversight
• To handle confidential matters and material
• To duplicate yourself through recruiting, equipping, and mobilizing others for ministry
• To be a team player
• To be flexible in an environment that is subject to spur-of-the-moment changes

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and execution of Kids Ministry with a focus on involving and equipping volunteer teams
• Implement a holistic approach to programming that includes outreach, discipleship, classes, small groups, large groups, trips, and event experiences
• Create a dynamic Catalytic Weekend Experience
• Create opportunities for kids and families to develop life-changing relationships
• Ensure that giving, serving, and inviting is strategically rooted throughout Kids Ministry
• Lead and/or contribute to other special FC events or programming as requested
• Shepherd and disciple ministry volunteers and their families through emotionally, spiritually healthy leadership
• Provide direct leadership to summer camp experiences
