We are looking for a Pain Management Physician to join our medical group full time in Hillsborough, NJ. We are seeking an Interventional Anesthesiologist with a pain management fellowship|specialization OR PM&R Trained Doc with a sports medicine fellowship|specialization to consider joining our multi-specialty, evidenced-based, orthopedic|pain practice located in Central New Jersey. A minimum of 1 year experience (which can include your fellowship year) performing not only basic pain procedures (I.E. ESI, MBB, RFA) but also more advanced pain procedures (I.E. SCS|PNS implants, MILD,ISPs, Kyphoplasty, Intracept, etc.) New Fellows welcomed.
Ideally, the incoming physician has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families and positive bedside manner, can establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and clinic staff, exceptional time management and organizational skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail, and is adaptable and responsive to change with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be highly motivated with demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and contribute to personalized and integrated treatment plans for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain.
Utilize a multidisciplinary approach, coordinating with other healthcare professionals (e.g., surgeons, PM&R physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapist, acupuncturist, and chiropractors) to provide comprehensive care.
Prescribe, administer, and manage medications and interventions as needed, while monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
Perform basic and advanced interventional procedures, in accordance with best practices and clinical guidelines.
Educate patients and their families on treatment plan strategies, including self-care techniques, coping mechanisms, and lifestyle modifications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Participate in continuing education opportunities and stay current on advancements in pain management techniques and research.
Collaborate with colleagues to optimize patient care and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our treatment plan.
Utilize fluoroscopy or ultrasound to perform most interventions.
Requirements:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
BCBE - Interventional Anesthesiologist with a pain management fellowship|specialization OR PM&R Trained Doc with a sports medicine fellowship|specialization
Must possess current NJ Medical License or apply with turnaround time of 3-5 months
Willing to relocate or live within a reasonable commutable distance
New fellows welcome but if in fellowship, must be complete by end of June (prefer candidates fellowship trained in pain mgmt.)
