International Corporate Controller

The International Corporate Controller will oversee the corporate finance team, collaborating closely with the international finance team to facilitate monthly financial reporting and operational matters. This role includes managing cash flow, the budgeting process, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and year-end audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Operations Management: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and practices.
• Strategic Planning: Provide insights and analyses to inform executive decision-making and guide the company's financial direction.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Partner with other departments, international markets, and the executive team to support organizational goals.
• Sales and Inventory Reporting: Manage sales preparation, inventory reconciliation, COGS, intercompany eliminations, and other financial reporting tasks for monthly reporting cycles.
• Variance Analysis: Analyze financial statements to identify variances or discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting packages for the U.S. entity, foreign entities, and consolidated reports.
• Operational Support: Collaborate with finance teams on financial reporting, pricing, promotions, and operational issues.
• Budgeting and Auditing: Lead the annual budgeting process and oversee the year-end audit.
• Special Projects: Undertake tasks and projects to safeguard company resources and enhance profitability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8–10 years of experience in roles such as Accounting Manager, Staff Accountant, or General Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and collaborate effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Proactive with strong follow-up skills.
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Direct sales industry experience is a plus.
