Job Description

EQPD is seeking highly skilled educational consultants to serve as Instructional Coaches supporting tutors, paraprofessionals, and support staff virtually in literacy, math, and general K-12 instruction. This role involves mentoring, observation, feedback, and professional development to help educators grow in their roles. Instructional Coaches will work closely with EQPD leadership, facilitating meaningful tutor growth and development.

The ideal candidate is an inspirational leader who is passionate about K-12 education and is highly motivated, flexible, independent, and resourceful. A background in instructional coaching or related fields is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate Coaching Cycles:

• Conduct regular meetings, set goals, and provide feedback to tutors.
• Observe tutors in action, offer constructive evaluations, and support their professional development.
• Mentor educators through tailored learning sessions to enhance their instructional skills.

Quality Assurance Tutor Tracking and Relationship Building:

• Monitor and manage an educator tracking system to follow their progress.
• Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with educators, fostering a supportive coaching environment.

Collaborate with Leadership:

• Meet weekly with the EQPD leadership team to align coaching efforts with the program’s strategic goals and vision.

Support Strategic Goals:

• Participate in the design and implementation of strategic initiatives, departmental objectives, and long-term planning.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a lead teacher, instructional coach, or teacher mentor.
• Strong familiarity with virtual learning platforms and online teaching methods.
• Expertise in differentiation and engagement strategies in the classroom.
• Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple coaching cycles simultaneously.
• Strong cultural competency, emotional intelligence, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in Educational Instructional Coaching or a similar role.
• A proven track record of fostering tutor or teacher professional growth.

Outcomes Expected:

• Effective Coaching: Successful completion of coaching cycles, which include goal setting, observation, and feedback leading to measurable tutor growth.
• Relationship Management: Build positive and productive relationships with tutors, ensuring they feel supported and engaged throughout the coaching process.
• Program Alignment: Help advance the strategic goals of EQPD by contributing to program development and long-term objectives.

Location : Remote (Virtual coaching and mentoring)

Compensation : 1099 Contractor, Negotiable, based on experience
