Job Description

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Human Resources Generalist to help support our Specialty Foam business. Did you know we have been revolutionizing the sleep industry since 1883? As a Human Resources Generalist, you will have the opportunity to support our manufacturing facility in Newnan, GA with around 100 employees. You will work with manufacturing facility leaders to ensure successful execution of HR practices and objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture emphasizing safety, quality, and productivity goal attainment.

 

So, what will you be doing as a(n) HR Generalist?

HRIS and Payroll Management:

  • Monitor non-exempt/hourly time in ADP eTime System
  • Process payroll and manage time-off requests
  • Generate HR reports (headcount, hours worked, attrition)

Business Partnership:

  • Meet weekly with Manufacturing Plant Managers and Supervisors
  • Implement and track progress on HR initiatives

Compliance and Employee Relations:

  • Investigate non-compliance allegations and recommend solutions
  • Consult on employee relations issues
  • Manage employee files and respond to unemployment claims

Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment process
  • Coordinate with hiring managers and conduct initial screenings
  • Oversee new employee onboarding

Temporary Workforce Management:

  • Partner with Staffing Agencies and Plant managers
  • Coordinate temporary staffing needs

Training and Development:

  • Facilitate new employee orientation
  • Conduct leadership and employee training programs as needed

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and five years of human resources generalist experience in the production and manufacturing industry.
  • PHR, SPHR, and/or SHRM Certification preferred
