Job Description

Summary Description:

The Financial Controller becomes part of a growing team and has a global reach, with some more specific focus on some legal entities (Romania, Singapore, Hong Kong and US).

Reporting solid line to the Global Finance Director, based in Bucharest together with one of our delivery centres, with all its group finance requirement and liaison with statutory outsourced accounting firms.

The role has significant input in global Finance related projects and keep under control accounting operations and reporting, using our new ERP – NetSuite.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Economics background, accounting experience and preferably international experience with management accounting, local experience with statutory accounting (eg. ACCA is preferred but not a must).

  • Projects experience (eg. Project management), ideally with deploying a new IT system and/or implementing new procedures or change of business processes.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in budgeting & forecasting;

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as senior accountant;

  • Minimum 1 year as senior management accountant;

  • Minimum 2 years of controlling of FP&A;

  • Experience in ERP systems.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support and ownership of activities related to; monthly reporting, forecast, annual budget, intercompany invoicing and collection, financial reports (BU P&L, Cash Flow Statement, etc.), analysing financial data, monitoring internal controls, overseeing and preparing income statements, participating in budgeting processes, managing local financial transactions.

  • Mantain cashflow forecasts to support strategic financial planning and decision-making for Romania, US, Hong Kong, Singapore and consolidate all group with input from other countries.

  • Book accounting entries in the accounting system necessary for corrections, adjustments.

  • Calculate the global cost allocations (management fees) to be distributed from parent company to the subsidiaries in the group; issue the intercompany invoices or find an alternative to delegate this task under the Finance Controller supervision.

  • Prepare and distribute analytical reviews of the business, explain variances, and make recommendations for the achievement of performance objectives.

  • Lead the annual statutory audit process in Singapore parent company, one entity in Hong Kong, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all audit requirements are met.

  • Coordinate financial activities with those of the other Global functional team members to ensure that total corporate financial results are accurately and timely analysed and reported.

  • Assist with special projects, prepare presentations.

  • Further develop the business accounting (management accounting) and policies set at global level and proactively contribute in shaping policies that support company’s objectives (which often go in the direction set by CEO or executive team).

Work Environment:
