What You’ll Do
As an Instructional Coach for ESL at Veritas Prep, you will work closely with teachers to enhance their practices in supporting English Language Learners (ELLs). By providing expert guidance and resources, you will help empower educators to create inclusive classrooms that promote language acquisition and academic success for all students. Your role will be integral in fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
Specifically, you will:
Observe and coach teachers on effective ESL strategies, supporting the implementation of best practices for ELL instruction.
Lead professional development sessions focused on language instruction and culturally responsive teaching.
Develop and share resources, tools, and materials that align with high-quality ESL instruction.
Analyze student data to inform instructional practices and provide targeted support to educators.
Foster strong relationships with staff, students, and families to ensure a comprehensive support system for ELLs.
Collaborate with the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction to align ESL strategies with school-wide goals.

Veritas Prep is a public, tuition-free school in Springfield that prepares students in grades 5 through 12 to compete, achieve, and succeed in college and beyond. Students can earn up to an associate degree for free, and the general studies associate degree from STCC means students enter as JUNIORS at any Massachusetts public college or university after high school graduation.
