Job Description

Acara Solutions is looking for a Designer in Phoenix, AZ for one of our clients.

• Designer Level I or Level II 
• Pay rate range for Level I: $25-$30/hour
• Pay rate range for Level II: $30-$35/hour
• Would like someone to start as soon as possible
• Must have minimum of Associate's Degree or technical school certification in AutoCAD (AutoCAD AUD preferred) plus two (2) years of electrical utility design experience (for a Level II)
  • If Level I, then please see specific minimum requirements below for that. 
• Additional callouts from leader: Need candidates strong in AutoCAD and with solid soft skills (collaboration is a major part of this role) 
• Role will be fully onsite 
  • Work Location: Paradise Valley Service Center (4612 E. Bell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85032)
• Contractor will be working Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day either 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm shift
  • Additionally, will have optional OT opportunity of up to 5 hours per week 
• One year contract with possibility of extension 
• Will potentially need to drive an vehicle to check equipment out in field (so driving record screenings will be needed for this position)

Required Skills / Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Designer I
* High School diploma/GED.
* Must have completed two years college or technical school course work in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) or a technical discipline or equivalent.
* Specific Business Units may require one (1) year design experience in area of specialization.
* Demonstrated oral and written communications and interpersonal skill, as well as PC skills in a Windows environment.
* Valid Driver's License required

Designer II
* High School diploma/GED.
* Must have completed two years college or technical school coursework in CADD or a technical discipline (or equivalent) plus two (2) years design experience in area of specialization.
* Must demonstrate effective interpersonal, communications and PC skills in a Windows environment.
* Valid Driver's License required
