Job Title: Dermatology Physician Assistant - Permanent
Location: Marietta, GA
Pay: $150-$170K

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Provides excellent patient care as per company and regulatory requirements under direct supervision of a board-certified dermatologist (supervising physician).
- Assures that the patient’s treatment is monitored and coordinated in concert with the organization’s clinical policies, and guidelines.
- Assures that medical record documentation of care meets established clinical quality and compliance standards.
- Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; promoting wellness and health maintenance. Adheres to Medical Board requirements for supervision.
- Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Develops health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems.
- Knowledge of medicine and specific concepts related to dermatology.
- Working knowledge of computers. Experience with a fully integrated medical office software package would be extremely beneficial.
- Knowledge of research methods and procedures. Quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service skills. Ability to listen to, empathize with, or inform patients to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with practice physicians, vendors, and business partners, as well as referring/referral doctor offices.

- Leadership and mentoring skills as well as ability to work as a member of a team. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

ABILITIES:

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Ability to identify problems, recommends solutions, and analyze information. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.
Requirements:
Education - An MS in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent, and certified. Successful completion of a medical internship and medical residency at an accredited medical facility in Dermatology.
Experience - Minimum of 2-3 years of general Dermatology experience AND a minimum of 1-2 years of Dermatology surgical experience, Mohs experience is a plus.
License/Certification - Must have an active GA license.
Physical Requirements: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
