Job Summary/Basic Function:
This position includes responsibilities that are critically important to the educational mission and both strategic and daily operations of education abroad and global learning goals at a highly selective, globally focused liberal arts college. The coordinator/advisor position coordinates daily operations in support of education abroad and a portfolio of programs which include selected Dickinson's own long-standing semester and academic year programs, partner programs, and short-term, faculty-led programs. This position coordinates application cycles, promotion and recruiting, budget development, updating web based and print program materials; working in partnership with campus-based and onsite faculty and staff as well as with overseas partner institution colleagues. This position advises students before, during, and after the education abroad experience. This position also serves a critical role in the College's strategic commitment to imbue our students with an immersive global perspective, a holistic sustainability education, a community orientation and civic skillset, and the ability to think across disciplines and dialogue across differences.
