What You'll Be Doing:
As our Controller, you'll be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to multiple nonprofit clients, responsible for:
Serving as an outsourced Controller/CFO, transforming client financial departments.
Providing financial reporting for management and board decision-making.
Recommending and implementing improvements to accounting, operations, and internal controls.
Managing transactional activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Performing general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Conducting analysis and data visualization, budgeting, and forecasting.
Overseeing grant management, allocations, and funder reporting.
Preparing for and managing annual audits.
Providing client and staff training.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a passionate and experienced Controller who:
Is passionate about working in or supporting nonprofit organizations.
Holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Has 5-7+ years of accounting experience.
Has experience working in a remote environment (preferred).
Has the ability to manage multiple clients and work independently.
Demonstrates strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Has experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems.
Has nonprofit accounting, public accounting, or consulting experience (a plus).
Holds a CPA certification (a plus).
Is bilingual in English/Spanish (a plus).
What We Offer:
Competitive annual base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 (based on a 35-hour work week).
