Job Summary:

We are excited to invite a talented Clinical Coding Analyst (CCA) to join our remote team! In this rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in reviewing inpatient charts before billing, identifying revenue opportunities, and ensuring coding compliance. Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily pre-bill chart reviews for assigned clients, sharing findings within 24 hours to ensure prompt communication.
Analyze electronic health records to uncover revenue opportunities and address any coding compliance issues, utilizing your coding expertise and clinical knowledge.
Collaborate with physicians to clarify documentation, ensuring accurate MS-DRG assignments.
Maintain thorough and accurate records in the MS-DRG database for optimal tracking and reporting.
Prepare and communicate actionable recommendations to clients regarding potential changes in reimbursement or informational updates.
Respond to client inquiries and address rebills within a 24-hour timeframe, ensuring high levels of customer service.
Stay informed on the latest coding regulations and industry standards to uphold best practices in coding.
Required Qualifications:

AHIMA certification as CCS, CDIP, or ACDIS certification as CCDS is required.
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in acute inpatient hospital coding and/or auditing is preferred, particularly in a large tertiary hospital setting.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and excellent analytical skills are essential.
Experience with electronic health records systems (e.g., Cerner, Meditech, Epic) and comfort with remote work is necessary.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills to effectively manage responsibilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
