Essential Responsibilities and Duties: - Prepare appealing appropriate foods for young children.
- Provide nutritionally sound meals which comply with the Federal Child and Adult CareFood Program and Utah State Department of Health.
- Follow proper sanitation routines and cleaning schedules.
- Stock and put away deliveries.
- Be dependable.
- Daily kitchen clean-up and cleaning mealtime dishes.
- Follow Health Department regulations at all times.
- Follow Child Nutrition Program Guidelines at all times.
- Complete required CACFP record-keeping weekly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued: Minimum Qualifications: - Be able to understand and follow policies of the Eccles Lab School Staff handbook and the Federal Food program.
- Be able to attend trainings for the CACFP/Child Nutrition Program.
- Not have been convicted of any crimes against children.
- Be able to take and successfully attain the Food Handler’s Permit Exam.
- Working knowledge of nutrition will enable the candidate to plan and prepare healthy, appealing, nutritious meals for young children.
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations for food production facilities and child care facilities.
Preferred Qualifications: Education or Experience related to child nutrition.Knowledge of early childhood philosophies regarding feeding young children.Education or Experience in the Early Childhood Field.Be at least 18 years old.Have related experience in the job assigned and can provide successful work experience documentation
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
