Job Description

Job Title Chief Financial Officer General Position Overview As a key member of the Senior Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will assume an important role in the overall management growth, and strategic direction. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial and administrative related activities of the company. Essential Job Functions

  • Demonstrates SoundOff Signal’s Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
  • Provides financial leadership to all employee groups and in accordance with the best interests of its stakeholders.
  • Instrumental in leading the growth of SoundOff’s business in a profitable and sustainable manner through competent people resources, capitalizing on financial assets, world-class financial systems and operating in a socially responsible manner in all regions of the world.
  • Provides the CEO assurance that the proper systems are in place to identify and manage business risks and that such risks are acceptable and are within the guidelines established by Board Committees.
  • Safeguard the assets of the corporation through maintenance of a system of internal controls and risk management.
  • Oversee and manage the company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), including compliance with regulatory requirements, valuation processes, reporting, and ensuring alignment with corporate financial and strategic goals.
  • Actively participates in the development of an annual Strategic Plan that maximizes shareholder value, and in conjunction with the Leadership Team recommends and presents to the Board for review and approval.
  • Provides the financial leadership in developing the annual Operating Plan, in conjunction with the Leadership Team.
  • Prepares or reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine company progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Provide general leadership and management of the day-to-day financial and accounting affairs of SoundOff within guidelines established, consistent with decisions requiring prior approval of the President and the Board’s expectations.
  • Establishes limits of authorities for management to effectively implement business plans.
  • Provides financial leadership to the Leadership Team as required.
  • Responsible for treasury management including banking relationships.
  • Ensures accounting, finance and regulatory compliance (excluding ESOP) at all levels.
  • Presents business overview to banks and investors when needed of the company and LLCs.
  • Reviews and approves all capital expenditures.
  • Risk mitigation as the Company Risk Officer and must handle all interaction with the insurance brokers/underwriters.
  • Identifies best practices for handling tax requirements.
  • Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management (MBA/CPA Preferred). Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 15+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting in positions of escalating authority
  • Proven senior finance management and leadership experience
  • Cost Accounting and financial analysis experience
  • International Finance/Accounting experience
  • Very strong analytical experience
  • Fosters change management
  • Presentation and public relations experience.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Computer skills including Windows Office Suite and CRP system experience
Working Conditions
  • Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
  • Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
  • May work remotely
  • Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours
