Job Title: Medical Assistant Location: Multiple locations throughout the Minneapolis MN area Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Summary: The Medical Assistant will manage customer flow assist providers and perform clinical and clerical tasks within the clinic. This role requires collaboration with the healthcare team and proficiency in various clinical and administrative skills. Responsibilities:

• Clinical Care:
  • Perform standard rooming processes
  • Administer immunizations injections and medications as directed
  • Collect laboratory specimens
  • Provide telephone support facilitate communication between customers and providers and assist with prescription refills (duties may vary by clinic)
  • Perform xray duties (if certified)
  • Perform phlebotomy and clinic laboratory tests (duties may vary by clinic)
• Clinic Support:
  • Provide front desk and checkin support
  • Order and stock supplies
  • Assist with prior authorizations

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in skills outlined in the NMH Medical Assistant scope of Practice
• Additional skills as defined by Blaze Health and dependent on the specific clinic
• Ability to maintain skill proficiency and adapt to new requirements
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
