Position Details: Summary of Duties: Perform general duty police work to protect life and property; enforce laws and ordinances, maintain order, and prevent and investigate crime for Washington State University.
Required Qualifications: - High school graduation or equivalent; twenty-one years of age; possession of a valid driver's license; no previous felony convictions; U.S Citizenship; AND two years of full-time college; OR one year of police experience. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
- Must obtain and maintain certification or complete a basic law enforcement course as approved by the Washington Law Enforcement Officer's Training Commission.
Preferred Qualifications: - Commissioned law officer under the regulations of the State of Washington.
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to interact with the public, other agencies, and co-workers in a positive manner.

Monthly Salary: $5,783.00 - $7,779.00 | Range 61 (Step A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
