Acara Solutions client in the banking industry is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team! 

Location: Buffalo, NY (Must be local to be considered) 

Pay Rate: Up to $57 an hour 

Duration :  6 months (possibility to convert to fulltime) 

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst with expertise in RDBMS (SQL/Oracle), data warehousing, and business intelligence concepts. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, experience with collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence, and proficiency in data visualization and reporting. Knowledge of Python and familiarity with the financial crimes industry are preferred but not required. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Management: Utilize advanced SQL and Oracle skills to manage and query relational databases, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams using collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence to track progress, document findings, and manage projects.
• Data Warehousing & BI: knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts to design, develop, and maintain data models and reporting solutions.
• Data Visualization & Reporting: Create and share insightful data visualizations and reports to support decision-making and business strategy.
• Programming: Leverage Python frameworks and libraries for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
• Industry Knowledge: Utilize industry knowledge of financial crimes (preferred) to enhance data analysis and reporting related to financial transactions and compliance.
• Problem-Solving: Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle complex data challenges and provide actionable insights.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Experience: Proven experience with SQL and Oracle databases, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
• Collaboration Tools: Extensive experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Critical Thinking: Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Financial Crimes Industry Knowledge preferred but not mandatory.
