Job Summary
The Business & Performance Analyst will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making within the Operations Division. This position is responsible for tracking, gathering, and analyzing data to monitor and improve the agency’s key performance indicators (KPIs). The role involves developing new KPIs, ensuring data quality, and preparing detailed reports and presentations. The Analyst will collaborate across all departments, providing actionable insights to optimize performance and improve operational efficiency. Additionally, the Analyst will lead efforts in performance benchmarking against other transit agencies and the broader transportation industry to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills, including expertise in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and macros), experience with database software like SQL or Access, and familiarity with back-end data integration systems, ETL processes, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Their communication skills are exceptional, enabling them to craft clear and concise reports and deliver compelling presentations with tools like PowerPoint. Additionally, they exhibit an unwavering attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality assurance, and excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities. They thrive both as a collaborative team member and as an independent contributor, seamlessly adapting to the needs of diverse teams.
