Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Chief of Building Operations, the Building Operations Supervisor will help maintain a high quality of building operations standards. Tasks would include, but are not limited to: reviewing and processing of maintenance work requests, setting up and breaking down event furniture, responding to building occupant requests for assistance via email, telephone, and through the Museum's intranet system, moving of office/lab furniture, assist with supervision of housekeeping staff and cleanliness standards. This position involves working collaboratively with all Museum departments, including Visitor and Gallery Services, Facility Rentals, Exhibits, and others, routinely to ensure a functioning, clean and safe environment for all visitors, students, faculty, and staff.

Please note the schedule for this role is Wednesday - Sunday 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe and well-functioning environment, collaborating with housekeeping, facilities, and security as well as other Museum department including visitor services, rentals, events, exhibits, and others.
  • Assist with supervision and performance management of housekeeping staff.
  • Review and Processing of maintenance work requests through the Museum's intranet system and email communications with different museum departments.
  • Setting up and breaking down event furniture, responding to building occupant requests for assistance, moving of office/lab furniture.

Qualifications
  • High School Grad/GE Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
