Cafecita is a specialty coffee roaster and cafe that sources all our beans from sustainable women-owned coffee farms and co-ops. As a social enterprise , a percentage of every sale goes to supporting women's nonprofits around the world.
We're looking to fill two positions -- freelance baristas to work events and part-time baristas to work on our electric coffee trailer in Marina Del Rey. If the event allows tips, the wage is $18/hour. If the event does not allow tips, the wage is $25/hour. For the trailer, it will be $18/hr plus tips. Our coffee trailer is parked in a 2 acre nursery with a little outdoor cafe area. It's very welcoming and friendly and we want a team that embodies this environment. Must have good communication skills, be punctual, have 2+ years barista experience, and be able to get to all areas of Los Angeles. RATE: $18/hour plus tips or $25/no tips
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare espresso and other beverages to standards for quality and consistency; latte art a plus.
- Continually grow knowledge of coffee, beverages, and customers.
- Maintain active and clear communication with colleagues and managers.
EXPECTATIONS:
-Minimum 2 years of barista experience and some leadership experience
-Active California ServSafe Food Handler’s certificate
